Blue Star Surfaris (Blue Star)

Blue Star is the surf charter run by Blue Star Surfaris, a Maldives-registered operator that has been putting surfers on the country's waves since around 2007. Rather than fixed departure dates, the boat runs open and private charters that chase the best conditions of the season across the atolls, tailoring the route to the level of the surfers on board.

The wooden-hulled vessel is laid out for small groups, with air-conditioned en-suite cabins, individual beds and personal wardrobes, plus a saloon with dining and lounge space and an upper-deck terrace with bar service. From April to October it works the Male-atoll breaks such as Cokes, Jailbreaks, Honky's and Sultans, while the southern-atoll season opens up less-crowded reef passes further afield.
