About
Assidha is a well-known wooden Maldivian safari boat, 24 metres long with a broad 9.8-metre beam, named after the south-west monsoon weather pattern. Compact and relaxed, she takes just 14 guests in seven cabins (five on the lower deck with a double and single bed, two on the upper deck), all with attached bathrooms and air conditioning.
She is a genuine all-rounder, set up for scuba diving, surfing and freediving alike, and rounds trips out with traditional Maldivian night fishing, deserted-island picnics, snorkelling, sandbank barbecues and whale-shark and plankton spotting. Meals are served buffet-style in the main hall, mixing Western, Eastern and Maldivian dishes.
